Nexus 4 v/s Galaxy S3

Someone in the office keeps bullying me with his Galaxy S3 – S3 has a better camera, S3 has brighter and more vivid colors, S3 has come from the future… Bullshit!

I’m in love with this device since the day I bought it. I had never imagined that an Android device (even a Nexus) can be so magical. The interface is so simple, snappy and minimally beautiful (thanks to the project butter). Not to mention 2 gigs of RAM, which is always an advantage ( Haha S3 sucks). I used to drool over Touchwiz and all those shit before (that does not include SENSE or BLUR or whatever Sony does). But after rooting all my phones (haven’t rooted Nexus 4 yet), flashing a dozen ROMs on tens of devices, losing a few Android phones, I have found inner peace with stock Android. It just keeps getting better and better with every update. And I’m on 4.4.2, which is the latest (oh is it out for S3 yet?).

Stock Android is the most beautiful experience you can get with AOSP. It’s like a virgin beauty. It should not be tampered with. It works magical in the form it is built.

So unless you’re using the latest iPhone ( and I’m jealous of you), always opt for a Nexus device. Google loves Nexus. It takesĀ  care of Nexus, it trusts Nexus. So should we.

And dear bully in office – Nexus 4 gives a much better and premium feel with glass body, rather than the plastic body of S3. The uglishly high contrast of Galaxy series does not make them prettier or look good. Agree that you’re just jealous of my Nexus 4. Go ahead and upgrade with a Nexus.

I think the more mesmerizing reason is the “new” gadget you got your hands on. Android device basically remains same at the heart. Now coming to S3 vs Nexus, to start with the three buttons at the bottom ON THE SCREEN is the best waste of screen size that LG (do not read Google, cause although Google provides this option of soft keys however the manufacturer’s idea is just a cost saver trick to avoid ordering and assembling a piece of plastic on the phone) could come up with. Doing away with physical buttons does make sense to some extent but the UI perfection has not reached to a level where this can be ignored. Even Apple phones have it – a physical button and they have gone one step further to make the button more useful than usual.
S3 still has a clean screen with no on screen soft button shenanigans, placed at a perfect spot and ofcourse the shape and size increasing the ergonomics of the phone.
Coming to the next point N$ screen IS DULL and all the fuss around saturated(enhanced) color on the screen is stupid! The screen looks beautiful, crips and sharp saving us from adjusting the screen contrast every then and now. Everybody wants a good looking screen for reality exist only in a mirrors! Touch is feather – use it to believe it.

Coming to the body S3 is smooth as any phone can be with 4 body color options making it proud owner irrespective of your profession. Its elegance with coolness all over.
Shipped ROM is the best, big large icons and if not tweaked gives one of the best performances in its category and is par with the 2GBs of N4. It lags no where! and test did show apps on S3 rendering faster than on N4.

Premium feel comes through Gold not through glitter on the back :p.. what? are they trying to show stars from the “Galaxy” on the back
